Performance | Jelili Atiku

March 2016

  • Jelili Atiku is a Nigerian multimedia artist with political concerns for human rights and justice. Through drawing, installation sculpture, photography, video and performance, Atiku strives to help viewers understand the world and expand their understanding of it. In his performance at the gallery he invited guests to share his food, while being camouflaged as a tree. Doing so, he illustrated the interdependence between man and nature.
